Agenda: The Life and Legacy of Pope Francis
Given the sudden death of Pope Francis and his importance as a spiritual leader, we will devote tonight’s session to watching and discussing a documentary followed by two shorter videos which all together will review the pope’s life as well as highlight the key themes and achievements that marked his papacy.
Next week on April 30, we will complete part two of last week’s session.
Video #1 “Pope Francis: His Life, Teachings and Enduring Legacy” (National Geographic Deocumentary)
Video #2 “Remembering Pope Francis on Earth Day: How He Linked Capitalism, Climate and Catholicism” (Democracy Now! interview)
Video #3 “‘Heart of Compassion for Palestine’: Pope Francis Called for Gaza Ceasefire Until His Dying Days” (Democracy Now! interview)
Remember that while the formal meeting is 90 minutes, for those interested in sticking around, we have an overtime discussion for up to two hours afterwards.
AS ALWAYS, YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO INVITE OTHER FRIENDS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF OUR COMMUNITY TO JOIN US FOR THIS ZOOM SESSION.
