Agenda: Loving When We Are Not at Our Best
Many of us are carrying fear, anger, compassion, or uncertainty in response to recent events. How do we meet ourselves and others with love when division or anxiety clouds our vision? We’ll watch and discuss an interview with Parker J. Palmer, the Quaker writer and educator known for exploring inner life, community, and the courage to live authentically. He reflects on love as a way of seeing, moving through depression, and how listening to each other’s stories can soften polarization. We’ll close with a brief experience of Lectio Divina, the contemplative practice highlighted in the interview, and consider how it can be adapted for any spiritual background.
About Parker J. Palmer
Founder of the Center for Courage & Renewal; author of Let Your Life Speak and The Courage to Teach.
