5 pm - Office Hours 25 - The Worldwide Family of Militant Women w/Adnan Husain
We talk with Arlene Eisen, author of the riveting “In the Worldwide Family of Militant Women”, published by ISKRA Books and also available freely as a downloadable pdf, and Nadya Tannous, a solidarity activist with Palestinian Youth Movement and writer of the book’s foreword. More than a memoir of Arlene Eisen’s experiences as a militant anti-imperialist from Peru and Vietnam and participant in and observer of revolutionary projects in Cuba, the USSR, and China, the work is a social history of revolutionary women of that generation and a storehouse of insights about galvanizing and connecting to resistance and struggles today. Join me to learn from Arlene and Nadya about militant feminism, anti-imperialism, solidarity, the lessons of history and experience for today’s sharpening confrontations with imperialist capitalism, racism, misogynist patriarchy, exploitation and genocide.
